Oh Canada Tourtiere Pie (French Canadian Meat Pie)
Want to keep Canada Day simple and classic? You can never go wrong with a tourtiere pie! A staple of Quebecois culinary culture, it is made with AAA ground beef, the finest ground pork and the freshest of seasoning. Topped with special Canada Day-themed decorations for extra holiday flair.
Note: This whole pie must be ordered min. 36 hours before pick-up at our Granville Island location.
Baking Instructions:
- For Fresh Raw Pies with top crust: Bake at 420 degrees for 10 minutes first and then at 375 degrees for another 40 minutes or until golden brown.
- For Frozen Raw Pies with top crust: Bake from Frozen, Bake at 420 degrees for 10 minutes and then at 375 degrees for another 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.
Reheating Instructions:
- Wrap the pie edge with aluminum foil and bake at 250 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until the middle of the pie is warm and the top crust is crispy.
- Microwave an individual pie (without a foil pan) for 2 minute to warm it. Reheat a slice of pie for 20 seconds to warm it. For the best result, reheating the pie in an oven instead of a microwave is highly recommended.
